The rooftop bar had a great view and was very nicely set up. (I would have settled for a slightly smaller bathroom with larger room.) Our friends' room was even smaller. The bathroom was quite large and very nice. Since we were in San Diego to attend a game, it was an easy decision. Lots of places to eat walking distance for all budgets as well as a Ralph's.Īdmittedly, we selected this hotel because it was the best price in the area and was very close to Petco Park. You got Humphrey's too of course but $$$. Other motels walking distance including Ramada (stayed at the PL Ramada and had problems), Vagabond, and a couple smaller nonchain ones, but I liked the Comfort Inn. Also when I went to the bathroom I found a couple hairs (hairs get to me.granted they didn't look like pubes).

I have to leave very early in the AM when it will be dark out so I hope I have no difficulty getting out. Only reason 4 stars and not 5 is because the parking lot is really small and cramped. Wifi is strong, and the shower pressure was fine. Walked around a bit for exercise and they have a cute little pool, and a patio on the 2nd floor that overlooks the boat dock. Due to it being near a busy street, I just said any quiet room, and that's exactly where I'm at right now. She actually asked me what kind of a room I wanted (upstairs, downstairs, 1 bed, 2 bed etc). Using us Priceline folks get the worst rooms due to prepaying. The Comfort Inn at least is giving you a little something so be grateful or give to a bum (lots of them here in California!). Two motels I stayed at still list having a continental breakfast however they aren't doing jack **** due to Covid (which is understandable since the travel industry is taking a huge loss so I get it). I saw a review mentioned the grab and go breakfast. They really went above and beyond compared to the other motels. They give you a mini hand sanitizer at check in, and i the room everything is prewrapped (the remote, towels, soap/shampoo etc). I've stayed in 3 motels including this one during Covid, and I have to say they get an A++++ on how they are handling the pandemic. To my surprise, the place overall was great. I just wanted a clean place for 1 night to sleep to recover from an operation so wanted a place that was within 25 minutes due to traffic.

When I stay at a Holiday Inn I expect all the room should provide the same experience within the same property, and not with one building as basically a run-down motel.Ħ.34km from downtown Booked an hour before I checked in on Priceline for just under $73 with tax (had a promo code for 12% off). What surprised us the most is that the entire hotel is separated into 3 buildings, Two of them look pretty modern and I just happened to be staying at Building C sandwiched in the middle by the pool. There are only shutters at the window without blackout curtains so the room is way too bright even at 6AM. The toilet is very loud when it operates. The bathroom is separated with the sink on one side and the toilet and shower in another room, but both are small. I am glad I only redeemed my points and not paying $300 for my room. We were shocked as it is basically a motel with cars parked in front of the rooms. We checked in at the main building shown in the picture and was told our room is in Building C which is a block away. 5.95km from downtown Stayed one night with the family for a getaway vacation and booked a room Pool & Garden View.
